Cast your minds back to the early 1970's.  For me, this was the best theme tune ever back then.  The best theme tune because I was bonkers on football.  The best theme tune ever because it was virtually the only football on TV at the time.  The best theme tune ever because I got to watch football with my dad.  Saturday night's were my favourite time.  I'd usually been packed off to bed early with my sister.  However, come 10pm on a Saturday night I'd creep out of bed careful not to wake my sis and go and sit on the stairs waiting for the theme music to come on.  When it finally did I'd go into the living room where mum and dad would be secretly laughing to my feigning stomach cramps or a headache.  My face would light up when dad would say come on then the footy's on...pure bliss.  Thanks Dad x
